LOVING TRAVEL - TEN COMMANDMENTS TO VISIT NEW YORK ❤

10 things that you must/should do when you travel to NYC.
10 cosas que debes/deberías hacer si viajas a Nueva York.

Hi Everybody! How is the weekend?

Today we bring a new section called "LOVING TRAVEL" to talk about our trips and countries that we have visited.
In this first post, we are going to talk about our trip to New York in March, and also we will give you some advises to the ones who want to go.

Flying from Dublin to London and then London to JFK, after being for almost 11 hours travelling we finally arrived to our Hotel and started our adventure!. 7 Days walking, watching skyscrapers, yellow taxis, shops and so many different people.

Leon was in NYC last year, so we almost knew what to do, now we want to help all those people who is their first time and do not know very well how to start!.

Here you have our "Ten Commandments" to visit New York. Let's Go!

One of the first things that you must do if you travel to New York is wearing comfortable shoes, you would probably walk a lot! ( We learnt the lesson! :p)

Second thing, You would be very excited to see everything, but do not try to do everything in one day, take your time. Manhattan are very big and propably you will not see everyting in a few days. Plan your trip and the things that you consider more interesting or you would like most.

Third thing you MUST do, Order a baggel, sweet or salty, you will love it! ( Leon ate 7!)

Fourth. Visit as much as you can. But try to use the underground not to go waking to everywhere! Your feet will thank you :) . You can buy an unlimited METRO card for one week for 30$ ( unlimited trips).

Fifth, Do bring with you to much luggage, buy clothes there, there are good prices, we did it! And was a good idea! :)

Sixth, Instead of choosing the Empire State Building to see the Manhattan skyline, we chose the Top of the Rock, thereby we could see the Empire state inside the skyline. The price of both are the same, 25$. Best time to see the skyline: Ask to the ticket seller what time is the sunset. This time of the day is the best, you can see Manhattan during the day, and if you wait you can also see it at night. We did it and it was amazing!!! :) Very recommended.

Seventh. Once you go to New York you want to see the Statue of Liberty. You have two options. Paying a company to go to the island and see it ( around 25$). But if you do not want to spend money, you can take the ferry to Staten Island for 0$ and you will see very close! :)

Eight. Take the underground to Brooklyn after the sunset. Go a park near the underground stop, there you can see a great view of Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge. You will love it too!

Ninth. Go to visit a Gospel church in Harlem. Do not be afraid. The neighbourhood is save. And the experience is incredible. Try to go to the 9 am mass, later will be full of tourist.

Tenth. Go to Time's Square and visit TKTS to buy tickets for the musical you want. They have great disccounts ( -50% or -70&!). You have to queue under the famous red stairs.

As you know Manhattan is huge and we could not see everything, tell us what you saw, what do you think about the city and if you bought something :).

We hope you like these tips! See you in our next post!

Sexto.

Octavo.
